Overview

National Scholarships Portal (NSP) is a one-stop solution for student application, processing, sanction, and disbursal of various scholarships. It is a Mission Mode Project under the National E-Governance Plan (NEGP), managing over 140 schemes with fund disbursal via DBT/Aadhaar-seeded bank accounts tracked through PFMS.

Who Can Apply (Eligibility Overview)

Eligibility varies by scheme, broadly including specific categories, income limits, and academic criteria:

• Categories: SC, ST, OBC, EBC, Minority (Muslim, Sikh, Christian, etc.), PwD, and general as per scheme guidelines.
• Income Limits: SC/ST typically <= ₹2–2.5 lakh/yr; Minority & general schemes typically <=₹2–4.5 lakh/yr.
• Additional Criteria: Minimum percentage marks (often >= 50-60%) and course-specific rules depending on the scheme.

Documents Required

Common necessary documents to upload during the application process include:

• Identity Proof: Aadhaar or Aadhaar Enrollment ID [Aadhaar Redacted].
• Certificates: Valid Income certificate, Caste/Category certificate (if applicable), Domicile certificate.
• Academic Records: Previous academic mark sheets, Bonafide certificate from institution.
• Financial & Personal: Bank passbook copy (showing name, account number, IFSC), Passport-size photograph, Fee receipts of current semester, College ID Card.

National Scholarship Portal services are also conveniently available on the UMANG app for mobile access, allowing students to apply and track status on the go.
